All worth it.

"When Jesus is present, ultimately produces joy in believers." Sounds crazy doesn't it?

One of my greatest friends told me over the weekend that she seen a player who has 1 Peter 4v16 written on her cleat. So I looked it up, it astounded me. It reads, "However, if you suffer as a christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name." What a powerful verse.

This shows me that as a Christian we should be proud to have Christ in our name. God created us to his glory and I will not every doubt the love and affection he put into making everyone of us. That's why He died for us. If He did not love us He definitely would not have sacrificed so much for us because we are not deserving of that type of love. Although through Christ we are worthy, loved and valued, even when the world says we aren't.

I am proud to bear His name above all things. Because even thought the world may pass away and earthly things will fade He will remain the same.

We take for granted the right we have here to publicly say that we are christian's. In other countries they are not always allowed to share their faith so openly and some even go as far as killing us because of our faith. Now, I say us and not them to show you that we are all connected, faith connects people when words cannot.

Connection. The energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgement; and they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship. ~Brene Brown

We are blessed, I will be forever happy to bear his name... will you?

I challenge you to show someone Christ-a-like love this week. Maybe with words, actions or unnoticed acts, show someone whose name you bear.

It is worth it I promise you it is. Take that chance, step out in faith and you will see.
