What do you choose?

The journey out of Israel… what do you know about it? I don’t know much about it myself. But what I do know is that God is calling me to write about it. I always saw Moses as the forerunner of this operation because he was God’s instrument. But he wasn’t the leader of it at all. He was just a follower of the one who gave him this group of His people. I often wonder if Moses ever questioned the integrity of the people he was leading. If he ever thought that he was doing the wrong thing, and this was all a set up to test his faith just like Abraham and Isaac. But it was something so much greater. I wonder if he knew who he was leading, God’s people, small children who may grow up to be the one who leads the pack. I’m sure there was a small girl in there just like me and maybe you. She could have been running beside the group, thinking of the glorious place they were headed to. Only to be placed out there in the wilderness for 40 years. Oh, the faith they had to have had… or the lack of.

When someone is tested over and over, they become very weak or very strong. You must decide which one you choose. God gave us this ability so that we would realize that he is the only firm foundation. My mind always goes back to the saying that Jesus dies on the cross knowing you may never acknowledge the gift of his love. These Israelite's, they had a choice to make.

I can see when I see this group of people though, all the smiles, laughter, struggling, happiness, heartbreak, uneasiness, worry… all the feelings that were expected. Isn’t that all the feelings that we feel daily? There isn’t one day that goes by that I don’t worry about something, I’m sure you’re the same. We are all Israelite's. We all get messed up at times. Sometimes we don’t take Jesus seriously and we question even his existence. But why? Why question the one who put the breath in our lungs continually? Why question the God who can change everything in a minute? And he will, go online you will see all the good stories in a minute and the bad ones. Personally, some on those Facebook videos get to me. That’s a minute I’m giving to that video that can build me up or tear me down; speak life or kill me. That’s reality, that’s this reality. Sad huh?

You know something though… all the Israelite's were led by the one who created everything on them. Every freckle, every follicle of hair, every dimple or how many toes they had on their feet. God used Moses because that was part of his story. That means he can use you too. Moses was a baby who had to be given to the river when he was small because he was going to be murdered. The people who sought to kill all the boys within a certain age had a mission to kill a baby Jesus. God found favor in Moses and sent him to the Pharaoh’s house. They saved him. God saved you.

Be an Israelite but have a Moses soul who knows where his creator is and

what the mission is.
